The other day I had the pleasure in helping a couple find the RV that suit their needs. We narrowed it down to a fifth wheel. After comparing lots of different products out there in the market. They decided that the product we carried fit all of their needs.

This couple was so excited, it made me realize that even in this slow economy people are still going to enjoy the things they love to do and nothing is more important then spending time with our loved ones.

I remember the wife never thought we would have come close to the price point they set out to be in. She thought, they were going to have to wait until they found something in their budget. When we came back and said "congratulations" they were besides themselves. This makes me feel good about what I do. We don't sell RVs, we sell a lifestyle.

A lot of dealers work hard to meet their customers needs and in this economy those that don't just wont survive. We know and the consumers know dealers need to move product off their lots. The only thing that is going to eventually happen is, RV dealers are going to raise their prices back up or not be as willing to go so low. When they establish a comfortable level of inventory.

The good news is every day some one will walk onto a dealers lot in hopes of finding a unit they can spend quality time in with their family and friends. However, if the dealer isn't prepared to do what it takes or make a good impression and make the customer feel like their business isn't important. Then the dealer down the road will. It's a give and take. Right now dealers are giving so much to their customers becasue, the lenders aren't.

Some the price wars will end and return to maybe 5 percent off. For now I say get it while the gettins good. Also, remember dealers, your consumers too, so treat others like you would like to be treated. No need for high pressure because customers can smell commission breath a mile away.

Oh, and Thank you to that couple that made it worth while. You opened my eyes.
